Duraflex100 vs Duraflex Ultra: Which Super Crete Waterproofing Slurry Do You Need?
Look up both products side by side and they read almost identically: 2-component, polymer-modified, flexible, waterproof, bridges hairline cracks. If you're trying to decide between them for an actual project, that similarity isn't helpful — it's the question. Here's the real difference, and a simple way to tell which one is right for what you're building.
What They Have in Common
Both Duraflex100 and Duraflex Ultra are 2-component, polymer-modified, flexible cement-based waterproofing slurries. Both are designed specifically to handle hairline cracking — unlike a rigid, single-component coating, which simply cracks again wherever the surface underneath moves. If your project involves a surface that moves at all with temperature or settling, either product is a real improvement over a basic rigid waterproofing coating.
Where They Actually Differ
- Duraflex100: built for surfaces that show, or are expected to show, hairline cracking — giving reliable long-term protection wherever structural movement is a general concern. This covers most everyday residential and commercial surfaces: house walls, terraces, balconies, and floors that experience normal thermal movement and minor settling.
- Duraflex Ultra: built for constant, more severe movement — specifically formulated for rooftops, podiums and bridge decks, where the surface is exposed to continuous thermal cycling and heavier structural stress. It's the product our own project teams used on infrastructure work like bridge deck waterproofing, not just typical building surfaces.
In short: both bridge cracks and both flex with movement, but Duraflex Ultra is rated for a more demanding category of exposure. For most residential and general commercial applications, that extra capacity isn't needed — Duraflex100 already does the job it's built for.
A Simple Way to Decide
- Choose Duraflex100 if: you're waterproofing a wall, terrace, balcony or floor in a typical house or commercial building that shows (or might develop) hairline cracking from normal movement.
- Choose Duraflex Ultra if: you're working on an exposed rooftop, a podium deck, a bridge deck, or any surface under continuous heavy thermal cycling or structural loading.

What Neither One Replaces
Both are waterproofing slurries for walls, floors and similar surfaces — neither is a substitute for a dedicated roof membrane on a fully exposed rooftop under direct sun and pooling rain (that's SUPER-CRETE Duraproof AC 300), or for a tank/sump lining (that's SUPER-CRETE Duraseal XP). Matching the right product to the actual surface is what makes waterproofing last — not just picking whichever one sounds the most heavy-duty.
